Samurai guitarist MIYAVI is active worldwide as a rock musician, actor, and humanitarian aid worker.
In recent years, he has performed at the opening ceremony of Paris Saint-Germain's visit to Japan, at the NBA Japan Games, at Cerezo Osaka's season opener, on Sado Island with Kodo, a taiko drumming group that conveys traditional Japanese musical arts, in collaboration with McLaren's new generation hybrid car ARTURA The group's energetic activities transcend genres and boundaries, including sessions and collaborative video distribution, a virtual live performance at Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto, a World Heritage Site, and a performance at Toji Temple, the head temple of the Shingon sect of Shin Buddhism.

The new song "Running In My Head," which was announced late last year as the theme song for "Code Geass Retrieval Rose," will be released as a single on May 8, 2024 (Wednesday). The song, which has already been performed live, is an up-tempo rock tune with a heavy and thrilling guitar sound typical of MIYAVI, and easily conjures up images of intense excitement by the audience at live performances. The song will also feature a newly-drawn anime copyright jacket, and fans of Code Geass are eagerly awaiting further news on how the illustration will turn out.
