Billy Irish releases his third and long-awaited latest album "Hit Me Hard and Soft" on Friday, May 17! Comments for Japanese fans have also arrived!

Billy Irish's long-awaited new album "Hit Me Hard and Soft" will be released on Friday, May 17. This album will not be preceded by a single release, and today, for the first time, the ten genre-defying songs that will be included on the album are revealed in their entirety. It is a diverse yet cohesive work, a veritable cinematic journey through a vast audio landscape that immerses the listener in every emotion. Billy Irish wants the album to be a "family of songs" and wants the listener to listen to the album consistently from beginning to end.
Hit Me Hard and Soft" is their most daring work to date, and has been hailed by Rolling Stone as "the greatest album of all time.
The album listening events held in New York and Los Angeles in anticipation of the album's release filled all 16,000 seats at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn and 13,500 seats at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, creating quite a buzz.
The physical format of this work is also released in eco-friendly materials, minimizing waste and using recyclable materials as much as possible in consideration of the environment.
Billy Irish commented on the secret story behind the making of the album as follows.
The production was from May 2023 to January or February 2024, so it wasn't a very long period of time. On that day, a lot of bad things happened, and I was at my brother's house, which I visited for the production, thinking "I can't believe I'm going to make music now," but that was the day I wrote "The Greatest". That was the day I wrote "The Greatest," which allowed me to start writing the rest of the songs. Everything but the bridge was finished that day, and that was the day the inspiration and concept for the album was complete. It was a lot of fun working with Phineas on the production.
Also, a message to Japanese fans arrived.
I really love it and look forward to meeting everyone. I really can't wait to go to everyone's home country! I'll be there soon, really! Love you guys and see you soon.
Comments from the audience made us look forward to the day when Billie Eilish comes to Japan. We can't help but have high expectations for the future of the increasingly active Billy Irish.
In addition, here in Japan, a # Billy truck will be driving around Tokyo to celebrate the release of the album! Detailed route, schedule, etc. can be found at the following website.
