STU48 holds 1st album release day event in Hiroshima! Sequel dance performance video to the "Weight of Love" MV will be released today at 22:00!

On Wednesday, June 12, STU48 celebrated the release date of their 1st album "Nostalgic Tomorrow" and held a release day event at Hiroshima Station South Exit Underground Plaza.

During the mini live, captain Azumi Okada said, "Today is the release day of STU48's 1st album "Nostalgic Tomorrow! How do you feel today, Chiho? Chiho Ishida replied, "It's been 8 years since the formation of STU48 and finally, it's the 1st album that I've longed for. This album is filled with STU48, so I hope you listen to it a lot! The audience applauded and cheered loudly. The music video for the album's lead song, "Weight of Love," has already been viewed more than 1 million times, and I am so grateful for that! He thanked the audience for their support. Amidst the excitement of the many fans who came to the event, they performed all seven songs on the album, including the album's lead song, "Ai no Shigesa" (Weight of Love). After the mini live, a handshake session was held as a special event for those who purchased the applicable products on the day, which had been unveiled at the release event held in Osaka on June 8 (Sat) for the first time in four and a half years.

On the same day at 10:00 p.m., a "dance performance video" of "Weight of Love" was released on STU48's official YouTube channel.

The "Weight of Love" music video, which was released on June 2, depicts the members of the group gradually transforming from their individual student lives into a group led by Mai Nakamura, and finally the new STU48 members, who have changed from school uniforms to costumes, run through the scene with a lively expression on their faces. In the "Dance Performance Video," the performance of "The Weight of Love" by the costumed STU48 can be seen in full, and the video shows the connection to the last scene of the music video. The choreography, which expresses the lyrics and the world of the song, can be seen throughout the video, including the movement of a fluttering leaf and the movement of a balance, which expresses the weight of feelings that cannot be weighed. The highlight of the performance is the facial expression of Mai Nakamura, the center of the group, who seems to be the main character of the song as she struggles to become stronger after learning how difficult it is to love.

The events to celebrate the release of "Nostalgic Tomorrow" will be held at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza in Kanagawa on June 16 (Sun) and at Emiful MASAKI in Ehime on July 6 (Sat).
