flumpool to release two consecutive months of "SUMMER LION," the opening theme song for the TV Tokyo drama "Hidamari ga Kikoeru" on 7/3(Wed.)
flumpool will distribute and release a new song "SUMMER LION" on July 3 (Wed), written for the opening theme of the drama "Hidamari ga Kikoeru" which will start airing on TV Tokyo from 24:30 on July 3 (Wed).
The drama "Hidamari ga Kikoeru" is a live-action drama based on a very popular comic of the same title by Yuki Bunno, whose original work is serialized in the original BL anthology "Canna," which has sold a total of 2.1 million copies in series.
Kohei is a university student who has always been distant from others due to his hearing loss, and Taichi is a classmate with a cheerful and straightforward personality. What connects these two opposites is a volunteer "note-taker" who delivers lectures to hearing-impaired students in real time. This is a sad but fragile human love story that delicately depicts the hearts of these two clumsy people.
SUMMER LION" is a refreshing up-tempo number suitable for summer, written by flumpool for this drama. Focusing on the relationship between the main characters, Kohei and Taichi, the song is a summer anthem in flumpool's style, singing about "liberation" from closed minds and blocked emotions.
The arrangement is by music producer and bassist Seiji Kameda, and the cover is by popular illustrator Meret, which accentuates the worldview of the song.
A preview of the song has already been shown in the trailer of the drama, but before the release, a short version of the song is available on TikTok and Instagram, so please share it on your social networking sites and enjoy the song until its release. The full-size version of the song has been released on the radio, so please send your requests to your local radio stations and check out the song in its entirety.
Pre-add / pre-save of songs (*pre-order function of songs) has also been started, so please look forward to the release date.

I am very honored to be in charge of the opening theme for "Hidamari ga Kikoeru. I read the original story over and over again and tried to capture the relationship between the main characters, Kohei and Taichi, and their feelings in the song. The purity of their attraction to each other, their spirit of adventure, and the freshness and recklessness of youth overlap with the image of "Lion. Through this song, I hope to convey to you the strength, hope, and infinite possibilities that the feeling of love brings. I sincerely hope that this song will be like a hidamari, a song that will warm your hearts, give you courage, and make this summer even brighter.
