The music for "NHK Sports Theme 2024," which YOASOBI will be in charge of, has been completed and its title has been decided as "Stand on the Stage. The song will be aired for the first time tomorrow, June 28 (Fri.) at 7:30 p.m. during the "Japan Athletics Championships" broadcast. For the creation of the song, three manga artists active in Shueisha's "Shonen Jump+" magazine, Taizan5, Yuki Kirishima, and Nuchishita Haruno, were asked to create a sports-themed work. Jun Esaka wrote a novel based on the manga, and the music was created as the original novel. The song, "NHK Sports Theme 2024," is an uplifting guitar rock tune that was written with the image of the struggles faced by athletes and the excitement in their hearts. The song is not limited to athletes, but it is a song that will push you to take a step forward with courage.
NHK plans to use the video in its broadcasts of the Paris Olympics and Paralympics starting in July, as well as in various sports broadcasts in the current fiscal year.

YOASOBI Comment
I wrote the song "Standing on the Stage" for "NHK Sports Theme 2024".
We are very honored to have this opportunity to participate in this event, as we have been passionately inspired and moved by watching athletes in various situations.
This song was written not only to encourage athletes who are actually competing in the games, but also to express our own feelings, such as the struggle to get to the big stage and the excitement of the moment, which we all share as artists.
I hope this song will encourage the athletes, and I would be happy if it is a song that can be close to those who are cheering for them.
