Wednesday's Campanella will release their new song "Charlotte" digitally on Friday, August 30.
The song was written by producer Kenmochi Hidefumi for the new TV commercial for Lotte Ghana Chocolate. The theme of the song is "Charlotte," the girl that the heroine of "The Sorrows of Young Werther," a masterpiece by the German writer Goethe, and the origin of Lotte's company name. The lyrics are danceable house music that is typical of Wednesday's Campanella, and the phrase "Charlotte-ru" is a person who makes everyone positive and cheerful through chocolate, a gesture that Kenmochi says he tried to express in the lyrics with the word "Charlotte-ru".
The jacket was shot by photographer Kazuki Nagayama and features Shiba peeking out at us and popping out a bit from a portrait on the wall that looks like a medieval painting.

[Wednesday's Campanella Comments
It was a collaboration with Ghana, which I had eaten since I was a little girl, so I was genuinely happy when I received the request.
The title of the song is "Charlotte," the name of Lotte's company and the character that the hero of "The Sorrows of Young Werther," a masterpiece by the great German writer Goethe, has feelings for. I used the word "Charlotte-ru" to express the gesture of a person who, through chocolate, makes everyone feel positive and energetic, and I used the word "Charlotte-ru" in the lyrics.
I think this song is a catchy piece of house music that can be danced to, but also works well as a pop song. It is a song that makes you feel happy, like when you eat chocolate, so I hope you will listen to it a lot.
