In 2020, their exchange started when Hanafu released a cover singing of GLIM SPANKY's "Beautiful Thorn" on YouTube. In the same year, a cover singing of "Tokyo is Burning" was also released, and later, when Hanafu launched "Kumikyoku," a collaboration project featuring real artists and composers, the first collaboration, "Kagami yo Kagami" provided by GLIM SPANKY, was digitally released on October 27, 2021.

Remi Matsuo of GLIM SPANKY, who produced the video, commented as follows

I like to take pictures of moments in my life that I think are beautiful, and I always hoped that one day I would be able to use them in something.
When the idea of making a lyric video for "Himitsu wo Kimini ni" came up, I realized that I could use some of the footage I had saved, so I gathered up all the data from the past and composed the video. The video was made to flow from summer evening to night, and THINKR's video director created an original animation and processing of the lyrics and connected the videos together to create this special video.
I hope you will feel that everyday life is always dramatic, with words that are so delicate and seemingly alive.
This is a very special collaborative work that allows you to enter the scenery of the song. It is perfect for the end of summer!

In addition, GLIM SPANKY's first best album is scheduled for release this fall, and one cannot take one's eyes off GLIM SPANKY's 10th anniversary year.
