Ryuichi Sakamoto will re-release his gem piano works "/04" and "/05" as a 2-CD set! /04 /05" will be released on December 18!
/04" released in 2004, and "/05" released in 2005.
Ryuichi Sakamoto's two albums released during his tenure at Warner Music will be re-released as a 2-CD set "/04 /05" on December 18.
The new album "/04 /05" is a self-cover album featuring piano performances of many of Sakamoto Ryuichi's classics, including movie theme songs, commercial songs, solo works, and YMO songs, and is truly Sakamoto Ryuichi's best album performed on piano.
The new product will also include new liner notes written by writer Takaki Yazawa and pianist Hayato Kakuno.
The remastering was done by Robin Schmidt (24-96 Mastering), who has worked on many of Sakamoto's recent works.
An analog release of "/04 /05" is planned for next spring. Please look forward to it.
In conjunction with the release of this album, Ritto Music will reissue the official scorebooks for "/04" and "/05". In addition, an exhibition titled "Ryuichi Sakamoto: Seeing Sound, Hearing Time" will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo from December 21 (Sat) to March 30 (Sun) next year.
