Mela!" by Midori-Yoshiki Shakai has been selected as the JRA Japan Racing Association's (JRA) annual promotional commercial song for the year 2025.
Mela!" was released on April 13, 2020, and was used as the commercial song for Darya's "Parti Coloring Milk" and as the theme song for NTV's "Sukkiri" program "Let's become one! Dance ONE Project '20," which received a huge response and exploded in popularity, especially among young people. The song was also performed at the 73rd NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Singing Contest) in late 2022. The song has been streamed more than 400 million times to date, and is one of Green Yellow Society's most popular songs.
JRA is renewing its promotional concept from 2025. Under the catchphrase, "Hello, Special Times.", the promotion will focus on TV commercials depicting special times spent at the racetrack with friends and the appeal of horse racing, featuring Masami Nagasawa, Ai Mikami, and Kuranosuke Sasaki, who have served as JRA's annual promotional characters in the past, and Ryoma Takeuchi, a newly added promotional character.
