Kendrick Lamar has earned his place as a mainstay of the music world in 2025. The domestic CD of his latest AL "GNX" will be released on Friday, April 11!
Kendrick Lamar's halftime show at the 59th NFL Super Bowl recently drew the largest number of viewers in history, sending shock and excitement through the music industry. Kendrick Lamar's sixth and latest album "GNX" will be released on April 11 (Fri.) in Japan with Japanese commentary and bilingual lyrics for all songs.
At this year's 67th Grammy Awards, Kendrick Lamar won a total of five awards, the most of any artist this year, including the major categories of "Record of the Year" and "Best Song of the Year. His latest album "GNX" was digitally released last November without warning, and contains a total of 12 songs including "squabble up" and "tv off," which he performed at the halftime show of the "59th NFL Super Bowl," and "luther," which he performed with SZA. The songs are produced by some of the world's best producers, including Mustard, creator of this year's hottest song "Not Like Us," Sounwave, who also worked on Kendrick's previous works, as well as Jack Antonoff, who has produced big hits for Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter. The project is being produced by some of the world's best producers.
AL "GNX" spent 11 consecutive weeks in the Top 5 after debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 last December. After appearing at the halftime show of the 59th NFL Super Bowl, the album returned to No. 1 in its 12th week of release, marking Kendrick's sixth consecutive No. 1 album.
Kendrick Lamar was born in 1987 in Compton, California, U.S.A. He began his music career around 2003 and released his major label debut album "Good Kid, Mad City" in 2012. 2018 saw the release of his third album "Dumb", which won the Pulitzer Prize in the music category. This is the first time that a genre other than jazz or classical music has won this award, and has become a deified entity beyond the boundaries of music. He has received 57 Grammy nominations and 22 Grammy awards, and reigns as one of the top hip-hop artists of our time.
