The latest song "Message" by MISAMO, a 3-member unit consisting of Japanese members MINA, SANA, and MOMO of Asia's No.1 strongest girl group TWICE, will be the theme song for the movie "Kakukakashika" to be released on May 16 (Friday). The film is based on the immortal masterpiece "Kakukakajika" (published by Shueisha), in which manga artist Akiko Higashimura depicted her own life for the first time, and Higashimura herself kept refusing to make the film because she thought it would be impossible to realize it in a perfect form.

The film version of "Kakukakashika", written by Mr. Higashimura himself, has finally been made into a movie!
Mei Nagano, a young actor at the top of his game in terms of both popularity and ability, will play the lead role, co-starring Yo Oizumi, a nationally known actor with many notable works to his credit.
MISAMO will sing the theme song for such a miracle work, the movie "Kakukakashika".

Message," written by MISAMO, is a mid-tempo ballad that gently touches the listener's heart and pushes them forward.
The story focuses on the days when Akiko, played by Meiku Nagano, dreams of becoming a popular manga artist, and Hidaka, played by Hiroshi Oizumi, Akiko's teacher and Spartan painting teacher, are at cross purposes, and the lyrics overlap with the feelings Akiko could not convey to him.

In performing the theme song for this year's event, member Sana said, "I'm very happy to be a part of this project.I am truly honored that MISAMO was chosen to sing the theme song for "Kakukakajika", a movie based on the wonderful original story by Mr. Higashimura and made by a splendid cast. When we heard about it, we were surprised. We wanted to deliver our song with all our hearts. I would be happy if the song "Message" could add a little color to the movie.
