Daisuke Kazaoka releases a reworked version of the entire album in dub format one year after its first release.
New generation singer-songwriter Daisuke Kazaoka digitally released his latest album "Soundscape from Another Planet" today, Thursday, May 29, exactly one year after the release of his previous album "Soundscape.
This work is a dub arrangement of all the songs from the first album "Soundscapes," released in 2024, and features an otherworldly sound colored by heavy bass and deep echoes.
His last album, "Soundscape," blending reggae/dub with folk and psychedelic textures, was well received and was included in the "Introduction to Dub," a dub disc guide, which received a great response and later led to an analog record release.
The new album emphasizes the heavy bass of the existing songs and uses reverb, echo, and other sound effects in all directions to tell a new story that seems to have arrived from "Another Planet".
Continuing from the previous album, Kazaoka himself handled the dub processing, mixing, and mastering of the album, resulting in a thoroughly self-produced album.
The album jacket was designed by photographer and contemporary artist Manyo Kobayashi, who also created the artwork for the previous album "Soundscapes.
The "dove-wise" artwork, which utilizes the material of the original jacket and boldly manipulated by Masa, expresses a new world where music and visuals are in harmony.
