Tsuyoshi Ayano, the star of the movie "DETCHIGAKE: The Man Called Murder Teacher," reveals his thoughts on the film! In addition, the co-stars talk about the charms of the actor "Go Ayano", along with the film and the making of the film!
The worst "murder teacher" in history who frightened his pupil, saying, "I'll teach you how to die.
In 2003, an elementary school teacher, Seiichi Yabushita (Go Ayano), was accused by a parent, Ritsuko Himuro (Kou Shibasaki), of physically punishing a child, Takusho Himuro. Corporal punishment is just a fancy way of putting it, and the content of the punishment was abuse that could not stand to be heard.
Twenty years ago, for the first time in Japan, a teacher was found to have abused a child by corporal punishment. The news coverage led to the teacher in charge being called "the worst murderous teacher in history" and he was suspended from his position. A 550-member legal team was formed to defend the children's side, and the case went to civil court. However, the courtroom opens with the complete denial of the teacher in charge. This is a film adaptation of Masumi Fukuda's reportage "Dekkituke: The True Story of the Fukuoka 'Murder Teacher' Case" (published by Shincho Bunko), which won the 6th Shincho Documentary Award.
The main character, Seiichi Yabushita, is played by Go Ayano. He has appeared in a series of internationally and domestically acclaimed films, including "Yakuza and the Family" (2021) and "Karaoke Go! (2024), and in 2024, he will be seen in the Netflix series "Jishitachi", which has become a social phenomenon. Directed by Takashi Miike. His film credits include "The Book of Evil" (2012), "First Love" (2021), and "The Monster Woodcutter" (2023), and he will also direct the TV drama "Shin Ranrenbo Shogun" in 2025. The film is co-starring Kou Shibasaki, Kazuya Kamenashi, Fumino Kimura, Ken Mitsuishi, Kazuki Kitamura, Kaoru Kobayashi, and others.
Tsuyoshi Ayano talks about the message he wants to convey "now" through his works.
In addition, comments from the gorgeous actors who engaged in an acting competition with Ayano are introduced along with the film and making-of footage.
Since the announcement of the film adaptation, this work has been receiving a great deal of anticipation from fans who have been waiting for the release of the film every time information has been released. When it was announced recently that the theme song for the film would be "Naku shimono," a song newly written by Kitatatsuya, there were many comments such as, "A newly written song is too extravagant! I can't wait to see it in the theater! I can't wait to see it in theaters! The film has been getting a lot of positive feedback from the public, and the excitement is increasing.
This time, an interview with the lead actor, Tsuyoshi Ayano, and a video in which six actors talk about the charms of the actor "Tsuyoshi Ayano" have been released! The video is a luxurious one that introduces the comments of each cast member along with the film and making-of footage.
Ayano said of the character Seiichi Yabushita, "Someone with so many answers."expressed. ."The image of the elementary school teacher is updated with each era.He prefaced his remarks with the words, "TheIf the year 2003 is represented by something visible to the eye, it is difficult to get a good picture of the person. Therefore, I was conscious of how much I had to fit into the person's life (i.e., how unimpressive it should be).In the interview, Ayano revealed that she played the role delicately, being conscious of being a person who lives in everyday life, rather than giving a symbolic clarity to the role. This interview offers a glimpse of how Ayano approaches her roles. The following is a series of comments on "Tsuyoshi Ayano" from the actors who faced Ayano in the film.
Kou Shibasaki, who played Ritsuko Himuro, the guardian who accuses Yabushita, said of Ayano, "I thought he was an actor who is sincere in his plays, always thinking about how he should express himself by capturing each detail properly. He stated simply, "I'm not a fan of the film," and Kazuya Kamenashi played the role of Michihiko Narumi, a weekly journalist who reported the story to the public while daring to interview Yabushita directly.Mr. Ayano gave me a sense of the "living scene.Ayano spoke about the atmosphere of the scene and the play created by Ayano. Fumino Kimura, who plays Kimi, Yabushita's supportive wife, then spoke about the atmosphere in the film. From the exchange of lines, Seiichi was far beyond my imagination, so I had to work hard to tune in to him, and I realized that this is what acting is all about. The way he expands the parts that are not written in the script was amazing. The film is a very emotional film," he commented from the standpoint of the actor who played the role closest to him. In the scene at home, Yabushita is shown as he is as he is, mentally trapped.
The interaction between Yabushita, who is losing his mind and breaking down rapidly, and his wife, who watches over him, supports him, and talks to him, goes far beyond the viewer's imagination.
Ken Mitsuishi played Shigeharu Danta, the principal, who was forced to deal with complaints of corporal punishment and the press.I felt that the sound picked up the slightest eye movement, the pause in the dialogue, and the feeling of eating the other person. He told us about Ayano's detailed performance.
Kazuki Kitamura, who played Norio Yamato, the lawyer on Ritsuko's side, wasI felt that he was acting at the root of the play. It's not about how I make Yabushita, but about "becoming Yabushita. He is a different person from his other works and from his usual appearance. On the set, I was acting as Yabushita, not as Tsuyoshi Ayano.and the part of the work that he takes seriously. You're with me...please don't cut there (laughs). He said with familiarity and humor, "I'm not a fan of the film, but I'm a fan of the script. As Kitamura says, it is precisely because he exists as "Seiichi Yabushita" that the details stand out and the script fills in the gaps between the lines with vivid dialogue. This may be the secret of the charm of the actor "Go Ayano.
Kaoru Kobayashi, who plays Toshio Yukamitani, the only lawyer who accepts Yabushita's request, and with whom Yabushita has co-starred in many films, says that in this film, after many years since his "image as a young man", "I'm not so sure I'm the same as I used to be.Rather than acting out loud, I felt that he wanted to play a shaky person with something on his mind. (I felt that he was acting as if he was putting himself in the shoes of (Yabushita's) hesitating thoughts and feelings. He commented on Ayano's maturity. In the scenes in which Ayano and Kobayashi co-star, Yabushita's facial expressions and behavior reveal the wavering emotions in his heart. We hope that you will pay attention to their scenes in the film.
The last part of the film was supposed to end with an announcement comment from Ayano, but instead, Ayano revealed his thoughts on delivering this film to the audience. While thinking about how to respond to questions about the film and how to reach as many people as possible, Ayano's answer was one answer to the question of why this film, and by extension, movies, are entertainment. The answer he gave was one answer to the question of why this film, and film in general, is entertainment.Depending on whose time you live with in the cinema, your view of this film will be very different. Depending on whose time you spend with the film, you will feel and smell differently. So I want people to live various people's time in various ways. I think that is what a film can do. That is why I think it is entertainment. After watching the film, I hope that people will think about how they will live their one second in the future, and if they feel that way, I would be more than happy. He concluded with a quietly enthusiastic comment of anticipation.
Ayano has been working on a film titled "Dekkituke: A Man Called Murder Teacher" with extraordinary passion for the character "Seiichi Yabushita" and the film. The film is about the charms of the actor Ayano Tsuyoshi, as told by the splendid actors who worked with Ayano on the film. This special video will further convey the depth of the film. Yabushita, Ritsuko, Narumi... I hope you will enjoy this film as you lean into the time of each and every one of the characters in the film.
Five scene photos that show aspects of the story and the human characters surrounding Yabushita have also been released.
The newly released photos show five scene cuts of Yabushita with the cast members who commented on the special video.

Narumi chases Yabushita to his home. Yabushita is terrified and frightened by Narumi's insistence of strong-worded questions.

Principal Danda looks bitterly at the reported weekly article.

The sight of attorney Yugaya standing without an umbrella in the pouring rain seemed to indicate concern for Yabushita's future.

Meanwhile, Yamato, who leads a large 550-member legal team, calmly proceeds with the trial beside Ritsuko, who remains focused on a single point.

Yabushita takes the stand and testifies. Despite the public criticism, he continues to deny everything, claiming that there is no basis in fact, but what is the end result? The scene photos show the complex interplay between people and various aspects of the story.
A reportage of an incident stranger and more horrifying than a story has been made into a film with a cast of splendid actors. The film is a troubled work that embodies the darkness that exists in today's society with unbearable tension and an unfathomable sense of despair! Stay tuned for more information to follow.
