Remi Matsuo】 Comment
I was a college student when I wrote this song, had not yet made my debut, and was just performing live at live houses.
When I went back to my hometown, I was frustrated and angry when someone I knew said to me something like, "There is no point in being in a band, so quit early and grow up," and I asked myself, "What does it mean to be an adult? Is quitting the band making you an adult? No, at least I don't want to be an "adult" who says that! That's how I came up with the song.
I don't know what it is to be an adult, but I want to be a person whose eyes sparkle with life, no matter how long and how old I get.
I have been playing "When I Grow Up" ever since I was a student, and I believe it should reach more.
But there are many people who need & love this song.
I am really happy and I am glad I wrote this song.

I still remember when Mr. Matsuo wrote this song when I was in college, I felt that this song would become a beloved song that would represent us for years to come.
We have always believed in that feeling and have been performing it all this time, and we will continue to do our best at every live performance for the audience in front of us so that the song will reach even more people and continue to be loved by them.
The song "Dakatonara ni Torita" is included in the best album "All the Greatest Dudes," which was released last November to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their major label debut.
