Koto player LEO to release album with gorgeous collaborations! Unique collaborations with Francesco Tristano, Yudai Bando, LAUSBUB and others. Advance single is available today & music video released!

LEO has attracted attention as a koto player of unusual talent.
He has won numerous competitions and music awards, and has performed with orchestras in Japan and abroad. He has also made unprecedented appearances as a koto player on stages such as Blue Note Tokyo and Samasohni, and is developing his own genre-less activities.

In his latest album "microcosm" to be released in July, he pursues further originality and experimental collaborations with a variety of musicians/artists beyond national borders and genres.
Collaborating artists include such musical geniuses as Yudai Bando, Shohei Amimori, and Kazuya Oi, electronic duo LAUSBUB, jazz pianist Masaki Hayashi, and many others, with composer-pianist Misaki Umei and composer Daisora Kimishima mixing the music.
He also co-wrote and performed with world-renowned pianist Francesco Tristano. Mastering was done by Heba Kadry, who has also worked with Björk and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Ahead of the album release, an advance distribution single "Vanishing Metro" was released today.
The music is an avant-garde and psychedelic number composed by Shohei Amimori, featuring Koto (LEO) and drums (Kazuya Oi), and the music video released today shows the superb skills of both musicians.
