YUNGBLUD about this albumIf I hadn't titled the album "Idols," I would have titled it "Change. This was the biggest period of change in my life, and I really had to face myself through this album.and that it is an important work for him.
Also, as the title of this work, "Idols," suggests, the theme is "idols (idolatry)," and in an interview he said the following.
The overall theme of this work is "idleness (idolismWhy do we seek answers from others rather than ourselves? Why do we only give them value? Why do we take our anger and frustration out on others? YUNGBLUD itself has been very controversial and has built a large community. But a lot of people have said a lot of things about me, and I haven't really been able to digest them. But in the process of making this album, I finally realized that. What people say about me is ultimately out of my control."
This is the most ambitious project of his career and the first of a two-part double album (release date for the second will be announced at a later date). The Japanese edition will also come in a special domestic cross-shaped special pack, allowing listeners to enjoy a different CD design than usual. In addition, "Abyss," the opening theme song for last year's anime Kaiju No. 8, has been added as a bonus track in Japan. Also, the first customers to purchase the CD at the Universal Music Store will receive a postcard autographed by Youngblood. We hope you will pick up a copy.

In the summer, the band will perform at SUMMER SONIC 2025 for the first time in three years. Their previous appearance at 2022 attracted a great deal of attention for their punk and unprecedented onstage performance, in which they frequently incited the audience with "Moshupit! and often incited the audience in Japanese, which also attracted a great deal of attention. Keep an eye out for more updates.
