Limited Edition Bob Marley Merchandise to be Presented at the Jamaica Pavilion at Expo '70 Kansai in Osaka to Commemorate International Reggae Day on July 1
International Reggae Day is celebrated every year on July 1, and 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the birth of Bob Marley, the legendary artist who helped make reggae a global musical genre. During this commemorative year, a special campaign to win original Bob Marley goods will be held at the Jamaica Pavilion at the 2025 Japan International Expo (Osaka/Kansai Expo).
The first 20,000 visitors to take the three-question quiz at the Jamaica Pavilion in the "Commons B" area of the venue will receive a sticker specially made for this campaign. In addition, 80 winners will be drawn to win original goods such as Bob Marley T-shirts. Distribution of the special stickers will end as soon as they are gone, so be sure to come early.
Bob Marley (born in Jamaica in 1945) is known as the "God of Reggae" and has had a profound impact on the world through his music. His songs are still loved around the world, especially his famous song "One Love," which expresses a wish for peace and has been used as a tourism catchphrase for Jamaica and the title of a biographical movie that became the number one box office hit in the United States.
This campaign is a joint project of Universal Music, which manages Bob Marley's sound recordings, and the Embassy of Jamaica in Japan.
