Kansai four-piece band KARAAGE BENTO has announced that they will pre-distribute "Local lake" next week on September 3 (Wed.).
Following the release of "I love you" on 8/6 (Wed.) this month, this is the second song to be pre-distributed from the second EP, "Renewing the Highest Renewal," which will be released on 11/5 (Wed.).
As the title suggests, this song is about Lake Biwa in Shiga, the hometown of Vo/Gt Yakisoba and Dr Kotaro. It is a karaage bento-style alternana number with an impressive heavy yet cool guitar riff and singalong part. The song, which also conveys their love for their hometown, will be aired for the first time tomorrow, August 28 (Thursday), on FM Shiga's "style! The lyrics and the fresh voice of Yakisoba, who talks about his determination to look to the future, are also noteworthy.
The band also announced that the music video will be released on September 3 (Wed.), the same day as the pre-release, and they are conducting a survey on social networking sites to determine the time of the release. This is something you don't often hear about, but the band's attitude of making music together with their fans is very KARAAGE BENTO-like. Please check the SNS and cast your vote.

On September 4 (Thu.), the day after the distribution of the first delivery on September 3 (Wed.), the band made a guest appearance at 04 Limited Sazabys' "Human Communication tour 2025" Utsunomiya HEAVEN'S ROCK VJ-2 live in Tochigi for the first time in the band's history. The band has been actively performing all over Japan.
The independent project "Small Box Hokuhoku One-man" to be held in conjunction with the EP release in November is now on sale for tickets to the general public.
The 11/29 (Sat) Shinsaibashi Hikage show sold out on the day of release, and the 11/15 (Sat) Shimokitazawa DaisyBar Tokyo show is also running low. This will be the first one-man show in Tokyo, and with a ticket price of 1,000 yen and photography allowed throughout the show, it is sure to be a special night. Be sure to secure your tickets as soon as possible.
