In 2023, the band will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its formation and the 20th anniversary of its major label debut, as well as its third sold-out Budokan concert.
Stray Tenor celebrates its 27th anniversary this year and continues to challenge and evolve. It was recently announced that they will release an EP "Next Chapter EP" on Wednesday, October 29, which will be their first CD release in a year since their album "The Ordinary Road" was released last October.

Prior to the release of the EP, a new song "Next Chapter," which will be the title track, was pre-released on August 27, and while the response from fans has been positive, another new song, "Metasequoia and the Moon," which will be included on the EP, will be pre-released next week on September 24. At the same time, a jacket photo for the distribution was also released.
Metasequoia and the Moon" is a fresh and exciting piece with a shoegaze sound approach. The fragile melody that emerges from the wall of guitars, which is Stray Tenor in their element, accentuates the beauty of the song, making it a song that grabs the listener and does not let go.
The members also requested that the jacket be designed by illustrator Riichiro Shinozaki.
The moon and metasequoia are symbolically depicted in this striking jacket, which is both delicate and imaginative.

In November and December, a one-man hall live concert "Sad And Beautiful Symphony" will be held in Tokyo and Osaka.
On November 22 (Sat) at NHK Osaka Hall for the first time in 9 years, and on December 9 (Tue) and 10 (Wed) at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA for the first time in 5 years.
