JUJU's nationwide hall tour "JUJU HALL TOUR 2025 'The Water'" reached its final stage at Hall A of the International Forum in Tokyo on October 10, "Juju Day".

This tour is a 31-stop, 43-performance national hall tour with their eighth original album "The Water" released in March of this year.
Upon entering the venue, a curtain displaying the "The Water" tour logo stood beautifully in front of the stage.
JUJU has delivered live performances in various forms, including covers, JAZZ, and orchestras, in addition to originals, but this tour promises to be particularly conceptual.

A little past the show's opening time, an abyssal track echoed through the air, as if we were at the bottom of the ocean.
It is "The Water -Prelude," the opening number of the album "The Water," and features an impressive poetry reading by JUJU.
Messages floated in and out like water patterns on the curtain. Each of them became the core of this album tour and spread through the hearts of the audience like water.
The tour consisted of 43 shows, but none of the messages delivered in JUJU's monologue-like poetry readings would have been the same at any one time.

When the curtain rose during the interlude of the next song, "Kouta," JUJU was on the stage stairs singing as if she was biting each note.
The lighting was beautiful, as if an aurora was shining through the stage, and the audience moved on to the medium ballad "Mirai".
Although "Mirai" is the oldest single from "The Water" from 2019, the lyrical message is strangely consistent with the worldview of "The Water."

The third song, "Kotaewase," a pop song that gained popularity as the theme song for a TV drama, brought the audience to their feet, clapping their hands.
The song order of "Kouta", "Mirai", and "Kouta-Awase" is also excellent, conveying a different story from that of the album.

And then to the first MC of the day.
Before we are born, we are covered with water in our mother's belly. Today, we are all covered with various kinds of "water. Today we will sing songs about these various kinds of "moisture. Please listen to each song as I remind you of the things that have happened in your life. The Water" is a song about the water in our lives.
I realized once again that one of the attractions of JUJU's live performances is not only the pure experience of high-quality music, but also JUJU's words, which are life-sized but still resonate with the heart.

After the MC, "Haru no Arashi" was performed. The lyrics, which feature a protagonist who could not be honest, were written by singer-songwriter Asako Toki, who is a close friend of the artist.
The urban city pop sound embodied by the live band is very light and pleasant.
After the spring storm passed, "Sakura-ame" and "Sora" followed, which sings about the sad farewell of the cherry blossom season.
Both songs were performed by a total of nine members of the band, chorus, and strings, led by Masato Ishinari (Gt), and JUJU's emotional vocals, making for a gripping performance.

I started performing live as JUJU in 2005. I was afraid of performing in front of people, but after meeting you all, it became my favorite thing to do.
The next song is "The Water Zone," which you can feel only when you are with everyone else," he said, and then went on to "Yasashisatte ni Ouburashite" (To be Overflowing with Kindness).
The fans sang along to the chorus of the song, and JUJU let his voice take control of the microphone, making it seem as if they were sharing a precious moment in a song that is very emotional for both the fans and JUJU.

The next song, "Bet On Me," was a powerful song that inspired the audience, and the dancers appeared on stage, creating an atmosphere that was instantly gorgeous. Shinichi Kusama's keys bounced more freely than the original, and SOKUSAI's bass arrangement resonated deep within the body.
The musicians, all of whom are "funny friends," play it cool with a cool face, but they all have a hot groove and a solid ability to work together.
They then moved on to the flashy upper tune "STAYIN' ALIVE," followed by "What You Want," in which the audience became one with the choreography.

During "WATCH WHAT YOU BE," the entire venue was enveloped in laser beams, just like in a club, and "The Fan," which has become a very popular item on this tour, danced around the entire venue.
The scene would have been exactly what I would have felt if I had been there with everyone.
The main characters in JUJU's songs believe in themselves for the one and only time they have in their lives, sometimes laughing off their failures, and enjoying life to the fullest.
And it seemed to me that the live performance, which directly conveys this story, gives not a little courage to the daily lives of the people who attend the live performance.

After the solo parts by the musicians, the song "Gura Gura" was performed. JUJU, who had changed her costume, appeared on the stage from the stairs, just like the lyrics of the song, "The stairs in this store are too narrow.
This song, written by Ken Hirai and arranged by Masataka Matsutoya, resonates even more deeply when heard live, as if it were gouging the depths of your heart.
JUJU's ability to interpret and sublimate such unique, pain-inducing songs into a story is unique.
The background images showing various windows and human figures are also imaginatively done, like an ensemble piece.
The theme of "Genshitsu," a song about love that seems to end the moment you meet, is a cool and cool song, with strings echoing bewitchingly and Ishinari's guitar exploding violently. Incidentally, the song title "Genshi" seems to be a coined word, and it is interesting that it evokes a certain fragility.

The audience was again on their feet for "Isshin". Ai no Uso" and "Ii Wake," which could be called "2038 Japanese songs," were, according to JUJU, "the nighttime damp zone.
Many of you may have been able to imagine "The Water" being played by adults at night, with its various emotions of joy and sorrow.

Then, to "YOU," a song for all the "you" who raised JUJU.
It is a famous ballad that is popular among fans and contains the reasons and thoughts of JUJU, who has never had a smooth sailing musical life, to continue singing as a singer.
Especially hearing "YOU" on Juju Day would have been an exceptional gift for fans.

The final song of the show was "The Water," the last number on the album.
In an interview, JUJU said, "This song saved not only JUJU, but also me," and "This is the first time I thought it was okay to praise myself.
The chorus of "la-la-la" and webbing towards the end of the song, combined with the lyrics "I'm proud of myself because I laughed with all my heart, cried for someone else, and fought for them. The song's lyrics, "I laughed with all my heart, I cried for someone else, I fought for someone else, I'm proud of myself," made for a beautiful scene as each and every fan in the audience joined in with the song, reflecting on their own lives.
It was a fitting and moving end to the conceptual The Water tour.

After reappearing for an encore, the refreshing guitar tune "Harisia" followed.
The song, which was born out of a trilogy discussion between Ishinari and Daisuke Kawaguchi, a close friend of Ishinari's, as part of a fan club project, is said to express his gratitude to his fans.
Although I am by no means a superstar, "I want to be a superstar for you one day."
The catchy guitar sound and JUJU's attempts to reach the entire audience from one end of the stage to the other made the performance a true reflection of JUJU's feelings for her fans.

After singing the medium ballad "Hana (Flower)" in a happy atmosphere and full of emotion, a special announcement was made on "Juju Day.
They have decided to release a request cover album "Showa Yogaku Junko JUJU 'Time Travel' produced by Masataka Matsutoya" next spring, and a nationwide hall tour with the album is scheduled from June to October next year.
A special video was shown at the event as a surprise, and the "JUNSAFE JUJU" sign appeared in the video, which was greeted with shouts of joy from the audience.
We look forward to hearing more about what kind of restaurant it will be and what kind of worldview the hole tour produced by Masataka Matsutoya will bring.
We are currently accepting requests for Showa Western music that you would like JUJU to sing, so please check the official HP/SNS for details.

I hope you all have a little song in your mouth at all times." After the MC, the audience was invited to "A Little Song".
The latest song is the theme song for the Tsuki 9 TV drama "Tomorrow Will Be a Better Day," and JUJU's own handwritten lyrics were projected on the stage background.
The curtain came down on the "JUJU HALL TOUR 2025 'The Water'," which had lasted about five months and included 31 concerts in 43 locations throughout Japan. The tour will be broadcast and distributed exclusively on WOWOW in December.

Jazz Live in November, which will be held for the 15th consecutive year, a fan club live concert from January to February next year, and a nationwide hall tour next year.
JUJU's musical journey continues.
