This is the first time for reGretGirl to sing an anime theme song.

The original story, "I made friends with the second cutest girl in class," was the winner of the 6th Kakuyom Web Novel Contest "Special Prize (Love Comedy Category)" and is a very popular light novel series that has sold over 1.3 million copies (including comics).
A life-sized adolescent romantic comedy in which the main character, a boy who does not stand out in class, begins to become secret friends with a classmate who is considered "the second cutest in class" because of a common hobby.

The new song "Submarine Youth" is a light and refreshing upbeat number perfect for a coming-of-age romantic comedy.
Please pay attention to the lyrics, which give you a sense of the sweet and sour, fragile and delicate nature of youth.

I am pleased to announce that I will be performing the opening theme song. Thank you very much.
I read the original story and was struck by the clumsy but straightforward sentiments of the main characters, Maki and Umi.
For this song, I wanted to express the "innocent, yet poor, place that seems to reach the two main characters.
This is the first time that reGretGirl has written a song for an anime work, so I was very excited to be a part of the production.
