GPP, an 8-member Japanese girl group from SM ENTERTAINMENT JAPAN, held their debut showcase in front of an audience of 500 people! Today they released their 1st digital single "Bring it Back" and released its music video!
SM ENTERTAINMENT JAPAN's 8-member girl group GPP held "GPP Debut Showcase Live" at EBIS303 in Tokyo on December 15, 2025, the eve of their major debut. and Red Velvet, NCT, aespa, RIIZE, etc. GPP is the first all-Japanese girl group from SM ENTERTAINMENT JAPAN, which has managed numerous world-famous artists in Japan, including BoA, Oriental Goddess, SHINee, Girls' Generation, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, aespa, and RIIZE. The group consists of eight members from various backgrounds, including famous audition show stars, top dancers, actresses, and models, and is produced by Sim Jae-woong, Korea's first performance director, and Jay Kim of the Korean rock band TRAX.

The eight members, who came together after being scouted, have been training thoroughly for a year and a half in Korea. The program "GPP Fly - Takeoff of the Cliff Paper Airplane", a documentary program aired on Fuji Television Network, as well as YouTube videos featuring excerpts from the documentary program, have been gradually drawing public attention, and now they are finally ready to make their debut on the first day of the event. The day of the event was finally the day of the unveiling.
The stage will be set up in the center of the venue and will be surrounded 360 degrees by an audience of approximately 500 people. The stage and the front rows of the audience were only a little over one meter apart, so it was going to be a very close-up live performance. As the venue went dark and the teaser video of their debut single "Bring it Back," which had been released the day before, appeared on the monitor in front of the stage, the eight members quietly appeared from the back of the stage. When they came on stage, the floor erupted in applause and cheers. The cheers did not die down, and it was clear that GPP was already on the verge of establishing a fan base.

GPP's first words were the extended vocals of HONOKA, who took the lead. The chorus of the entire band overlapped the lead singer's dainty chorus. Gradually, the singing changed to a gentle chorus that boldly sampled "Yesterday" by The Beatles. The concert opened with a quiet start, which was somewhat surprising considering the previous reputation of the band.
The first song they performed seemed to be their debut song "Bring it Back," but instead of the original version, it was arranged quite boldly as an R&B ver. The eight members of the band changed the front of the stage several times, giving a vivid performance to all 360 degrees of the audience.

The floor was suddenly filled with excitement as the band performed a violent dance break from the quiet beginning of the song. Buzz Down" was performed next, and the audience grooved to a powerful performance that was just like SM ENTERTAINMENT, using the entire length and breadth of the large stage.
During the MC session, the members introduced themselves, delved into the origin of the group's name, and talked about their "breaking-through-the-limit episodes" in a relaxed atmosphere. The eight members' chatting was the complete opposite of the intense performance that had just taken place, but this gap may be part of the group's charm.
Next was "MayoiBoshi," GPP's only ballad song at this point in time. The lyrics of the song are gentle and encouraging.

Perhaps one of the characteristics of GPP's live performances is the drastic change between stillness and movement. After the ballad, the band members again began to play an intense song, this time each member rapping. The intensity of the floor was rising as the powerful and sharp raps were combined with the powerful dance performance.
This song is actually a hip-hop arrangement of "Bring it Back," but it sounds so different that you might not even recognize it unless you are told so. The range of the arrangement is that wide. The arrangement of their debut song is not straight-forward, but rather a series of arranged versions of the song, which is quite playful and even spare. It seems to imply that their debut is just a passing point for them, and that they are looking ahead to what lies ahead, and that there is much more they can do.

The next song, "Motivation," was written by HONOKA, and expresses the determination of the girls to overcome their pain and move forward into the future. The dance expressing their life-size feelings was beautifully performed by the eight members, who danced together in a strange way. The dance break named "Time Break" was so intense and complicated that many audience members were left gasping for breath.
The last song of the show was "Bring it Back. The song is a dizzying fusion of genres such as drum'n'bass, EDM, and dubstep, which inevitably leads to a dizzying performance. How can you sing while moving? The floor was filled with cheers from the audience as the performance seemed to condense the day's content into a single song, with a variety of R&B and rap styles, intense floor dancing and dance breaks.

As the main program ended and the venue went dark, a monitor in front of the venue showed the music video for "Bring it Back," which was performed for the first time in the world today. After the music video, which focused on the members' intense and intricate dancing, the eight members appeared on stage again. The encore was a second rendition of "Bring it Back. This time, however, the song was performed with the front of the stage reversed, and since filming was allowed, smartphones were held up from all over the floor.
Thus ended the live performance on the eve of GPP's debut with great excitement. The group's intense and precise dance moves, as if they were athletes, and their intricate compositions, as well as their highly individualistic vocals, genre-less songs that are hard to describe as K-pop or J-pop, and a wide range of expressive techniques. The eight members are all highly individualistic singers, their songs are genre-less and hard to describe as either K-POP or J-POP, and they use a wide range of expressive techniques. And each of the eight members has their own character. The audience's excitement for the band's future performance was undeniably high. The showcase was enough to prove their ability to live up to the "world-class" reputation of the band.

And today, Tuesday, December 16, the first digital single "Bring it Back" was released.
The song "Bring it Back" is a fusion of various genres such as Drum & Bass, EDM, Dubstep, Urban, HipHop, etc., and gives a sense of a grand worldview. The lyrics of the song, which can be described as a statement of determination by the eight members of GPP, are not only avant-garde in sound, but also a statement of their strong belief that they will face and overcome any difficulties that may come their way.
Along with the digital release of "Bring it Back," a music video was also released on GPP's Official YouTube channel. The dynamic dance performance that seems to gather and explode various kinds of energies, the unrestrained movements of the mega-crew including the eight members' alter egos, and the fast and furious camera work using robotic arms make for a stunning performance video suitable for strongly expressing GPP's identity. The performance video is a perfect example of GPP's strong identity.
Watch and listen to "Bring it Back," GPP's memorable first release, and enjoy its overflowing charm.
