Trailer for QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL

QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL is a film that captures a turning point in the history of the band Queen. After dominating the charts around the world with the release of "The Game" album, the hit single "Under Pressure" and extensive touring, Queen played their fourth show in 15 months at the 18,000 capacity Forum in Montreal, Canada, in November 1981. This tour was the fourth time in 15 months that Queen performed in Montreal, Canada. The two Montreal shows, on November 24 and 25, 1981, were specially arranged for the filming of a feature-length live movie using state-of-the-art recording equipment, and were Queen's first attempts at a live film. This was Queen's first attempt.

For the first time, the IMAX experience has been digitally re-mastered in both picture and sound quality for this new IMAX experience, including 12-channel surround sound, crisp images, and IMAX's special theater geometry, giving the audience the experience of watching a live show from a prime seat. The audience can enjoy the experience as if they were watching a live performance from a special seat in the auditorium. The film was released in IMAX theaters around the world, including the U.K. and the U.S., for a limited four-day run in January of this year, and as the largest IMAX-exclusive screening in history, it grossed an astounding US$4.1 million (approximately 600 million yen) in four days at the worldwide box office.
