KATSEYE, the first ever global girl group formed using K-POP development methods, will launch this summer with the release of two singles from their debut EP on HYBE x Geffen Records in August, A documentary about the process of the group's formation will be available on Netflix this summer.

KATSEYE's first single "Debut" will be released on Friday, June 28 at 1:00 p.m. Japan time, with a second single to follow in July.

The documentary series "Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE," available on Netflix, will explore the year-long process that led to the birth of this one-of-a-kind girl group. With unprecedented access, the series chronicles the members' journey to stardom, including insights into the unique training and development programs offered by HYBE and Geffen Records. The series, which will be distributed this summer, was directed by Nadia Halgren, known for her work on the Netflix film "My Story," and was produced by HYBE, Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures.

KATSEYE consists of six members, ranging in age from 16 to 21, from various cultures: Daniela (from Atlanta, GA, USA), Lara (from Los Angeles, CA, USA), Manon (from Zurich, Switzerland), Megan (from Honolulu, HI, USA), Megan (from Manila, Philippines), Megan (from Honolulu, HI, USA), and Yunchee (from Seoul, Korea). KATSEYE is a group of 16 to 21-year-olds from a variety of cultures and KATSEYE is composed of six members, ranging in age from 16 to 21 and hailing from various cultures: Daniela (from Atlanta, GA, USA), Lara (from Los Angeles, CA, USA), Manon (from Zurich, Switzerland), Megan (from Honolulu, HI, USA), Sophia (from Manila, Philippines), and Yun Choi (from Seoul, Korea). The name of the group is also appropriate for them. The cat's eye, from which the name is derived, is a jewel that, just like the members, emits different colors depending on the direction in which it is viewed. Each member brings their own unique aesthetics and talents to the group, which is made up of a diverse group of people from six different cities on three different continents, all united under the name of KATSEYE and shining brightly.

The members of KATSEYE, now based in Los Angeles, were among 20 finalists selected from 120,000 applicants for "The Debut: Dream Academy," a joint program of HYBE and Geffen Records. They were the 20 finalists. Fans got to know the girls through the 2023 audition program, which was broadcast on YouTube, Weverse, and ABEMA in Japan.

KATSEYE will soon release its first single, with more music to follow in 2024.
