Creepy Nuts, whose "Otonoke" has been a worldwide hit.
The MUSIC VIDEO for the latest song "Otonoke," which was released on October 4, was premiered.
Creepy Nuts' music video, created by Masaki Watanabe, a video creator active both in Japan and abroad, expresses the dark atmosphere of the song using innovative video techniques. The music video is characterized by its chaotic worldview, with countless Creepy Nuts members appearing in synchronization with the beat, and a visual expression called phenakistoscope, made possible by a 3D scan of the entire body.
Otonoke," written as the opening theme for the TV anime "Dundadan," incorporates the relationship between the creator of the music and the listener into the "Dundadan" worldview, in which "pain and sorrow resonate and connect" when a monster or spirit possesses a person. The song expresses the feeling of satisfaction that music fills the hole in the heart.
The song incorporates the fast-paced beat of "Jersey Club," the same beat used in the worldwide hit song "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born," but with the melodic and emotional hooks of DJ Matsunaga's impressive track. The song is an upper tune that literally haunts your ears, with R-jitsu's ever-changing rap and mellow vocals.
Otonoke" is currently #3 on Spotify's Top 50 in Japan, #3 on the 'Top Song Debut Global' chart, #2 on Apple Music's Top 100 in Japan, #67 on the Top 100 globally, and #1 on Billboard's "World Digital Song Sales," a weekly chart of the most downloaded world music songs compiled by Luminate. It was ranked No. 67 on Apple Music's Top 100: Japan, and No. 1 on Luminate's "World Digital Song Sales," a weekly chart of the most downloaded world music songs, published by Billboard in the U.S. The song has been soaring up the streaming charts both domestically and internationally, surpassing the global hit "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born".
